An interview with owners Amarjit Singh Tember and Sabrina Ramdien

"What makes our business so special is that we are located in a quiet spot in the Karel Doormanstraat, with a lovely large terrace where you can find everything under one roof. Breakfast, lunch and since July 3, 2024 also dinner for a cozy evening. In addition to food, we serve wines, beers and cocktails. We have had so many nice reactions from customers about our cozy terrace, the renewed menu and especially about our friendly staff."

Since July 2024 you also serve dinner, would you like to tell us something about this?

"We started offering an evening menu on July 3, 2024. Our menu includes hamburgers with fries, spare ribs, lamb chops, steak served with vegetables, lentil soup and more of these kinds of delicious dishes.

We notice that customers still have to find us in the evening. It is also a big change compared to the past. We are busy with a website where you can make a reservation to have dinner at our place with family or friends. Companies are also very welcome to make a reservation with us, for example for a company outing!"

What is the idea behind the dishes you serve?

“We want to offer customers fresh, simple and tasty dishes that they can enjoy in peace after a busy day in the city or at work.

The Karel Doormanstraat is a long, busy street from the Schouwburgplein with many eateries that are often full. With us you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea, or a piece of cake or an Italian cannolo after your dinner."

Lunchroom De Koffiebar can be found in the Karel Doormanstraat at number 352 in Rotterdam Centre. They are open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 21:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 21:00.
