Ahmed Aboutaleb is one of the twelve finalists for the 'World Mayor Prize', an award from an independent organization that chooses the best mayor in the world once every two years.

According to the World Mayor contest organization, Ahmed Aboutaleb is 'no ordinary mayor', and we couldn’t agree more. A warm, respectful human being with genuine interest in people, the first immigrant mayor of the Netherlands, fighting for freedom of religion and speech.
